A Berklee College of Music alumnus, Brendan earned a Bachelor of Music degree with a Film Scoring major, and Video Game Scoring minor. He was inspired studying film composing from Mason Daring and Tim Huling, and video game scoring under Duncan Watt. He also worked at Berklee as an Interactive Scoring Lab assistant, managing students’ use of DAWs and other software and hardware. As a high school student, Brendan attended Berklee’s Summer Performance Program.
After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles and interned at Remote Control Productions, as well as Trevor Morris Studios. Brendan also worked as a mixing engineer for Jeremy Tisser on mastering and producing tracks for VR projects.
Music has always been an essential component of Brendan’s life. He spontaneously sang at a very young age, and started studying classical and jazz piano at age eight. His music education also encompasses musical theater and concert choir studies. Brendan gained firsthand experience understanding how directors meld acting and music to evoke audience emotions through musical theater training at Riverside Theatre Works in Hyde Park, MA. His Riverside and high school productions span diverse roles and emotions, ranging from Will in Oklahoma and Leading Player in Pippin, to Horton in Seussical, Scarecrow in The Wiz, and Linus in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.
At Boston College High School, Brendan studied music under Dr. Marina Rozenberg, and was selected multiple times to sing at Symphony Hall in Boston with the Massachusetts All-State Chorus. As a tenor in both the Concert Choir and Chamber Choir, he performed at Carnegie Hall, St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rome, and for the president of Ireland. He also conducted the Chamber Choir singing the National Anthem at Fenway Park. Upon graduation, Brendan was presented with the LaFontaine Award, the school’s highest Fine Arts honor.
